Arnica is a perennial herb in the in the Asteraceae (sunflower) family, often found in mountainous regions of Europe, North America, and Siberia and known for its yellow or orange flowers. The most commonly used species is Arnica Montana, whose flowers are harvested for medicinal purposes. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, it is primarily used for pain relief, particularly for bruises, to help reduce swelling and promote healing, muscle aches, and joint pain. Arnica also has slight antimicrobial properties, which makes it very beneficial for people suffering from skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, inflamed skin rashes and more.
